PACC Offshore Services Commences Towage of FPSO for Mauritania-Senegal Offshore Project

The FPSO Tortue , a crucial component of the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, has embarked on its momentous journey from Qidong, China, under the towage of PACC Offshore Services Holdings Ltd (POSH) vessels. This remarkable feat will involve a stopover in Singapore before reaching its ultimate destination off the coasts of Mauritania and Senegal.

During the voyage, the towed FPSO will make port calls to facilitate essential bunkering operations and crew changes. These vital activities will ensure that the FPSO remains fully operational and ready for the subsequent phases of hook-up and positioning work upon arrival at the project site.

The towage of the FPSO by PACC Offshore Services Holdings Ltd (POSH) signifies a significant milestone in the GTA LNG project. It exemplifies the collaborative efforts undertaken to unlock the immense potential of natural gas reserves in the region. The vessel’s successful arrival at the offshore site will mark the beginning of a transformative era, enabling the extraction, storage, and transfer of LNG, and ushering in a new era of energy development for Mauritania and Senegal.
