Qatar Airways Lifts Cargo Capacity

Qatar Airways has introduced an air bridge between Vietnam and France as well as introducing additional freight-only passenger aircraft and freighter flights to and from Scandinavia as part of the global fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

11 Boeing 777 freighters will operate from Hanoi in the month of May and four weekly freight-only Boeing 777 passenger aircraft will operate from Ho Chi Minh City until June for its customer, Bollore Logistics.

Five Airbus A350 flights, with a capacity of 140 cu m per flight, have been added to the existing thrice weekly, freight-only passenger aircraft services to Copenhagen, Denmark. Temperature-sensitive cargo such as insulin and perishables, alongside general cargo, are the main exports on these.

Two additional Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 freighter flights will service Oslo, Norway. The carrier is already operating six weekly freighter flights and three freight-only passenger flights to the city.

Qatar Airways will also add more freighter flights to and from Stockholm, Sweden.
