Rhenus Logistics, in order to achieve climate targets, alternative drive systems for trucks are increasingly gaining in importance. As a result, since 2019, Rhenus has already dedicated four completely battery-electric 44-tonne tractor units to its sister company Contargo. In addition, 27 additional BEV (battery electric vehicle) trucks have been approved for Rhenus Trucking through a funding programme by the German government that is unique in Europe.
