SBM Offshore Celebrates Successful Floating of Three Floaters in Provence Grand Large Project

SBM Offshore is thrilled to announce a significant achievement in the Provence Grand Large Project led by EDF Renouvelables. The successful floating of their three impressive floaters marks a major milestone for the project and highlights the exceptional expertise of the SBM Offshore team in executing complex operations with utmost precision and safety.

The journey towards this remarkable accomplishment involved meticulous preparation and skillful management by the SBM Offshore team. The process included the load out of the floaters onto the submersible barge, followed by a smooth float off in Darse 1 in Fos, and finally, the successful berthing of the floaters at Quai Graveleau and Quai Gloria.

SBM Offshore extends its heartfelt appreciation to Eiffage Métal and Sarens for their valuable contribution to the success of the project. Their expertise in the load out of the floaters onto the barge ensured a flawless operation. Additionally, the coordination of marine movements within the harbor by GPMM played a crucial role in facilitating the seamless execution of these operations.

This significant achievement demonstrates SBM Offshore’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the offshore energy sector. The Provence Grand Large Project is another testament to their industry-leading capabilities and their dedication to driving sustainable renewable energy solutions forward.
