On-site transportation of a distillation tower, Mexico

ALE has successfully performed the on-site transportation of a distillation tower, weighing 42t, at the
Agronitrogenados Plant in Coatzacoalcos, Mexico.

The tower weighed 42t and measured approximately 28m long.

ALE transported the tower 2km within the power plant site, from the unloading position into the final position as requested by the client.

ALE utilised an auxiliary crane to load the tower onto the 10 axle lines of SPT, where it was transported to its final position.

During the project ALE faced many challenges, such as reduced working space and restrictions in height, and were given short notice for mobilisation, installation and testing. Despite these challenges, ALE were able to overcome these safely with qualified personnel.

The move took 1.5 weeks to complete.
