Subsea7’s Seven Borealis Wraps Up Successful Offshore Campaign for Saudi Aramco’s Marjan Project

Subsea7’s vessel, the Seven Borealis, has completed its offshore campaign for Saudi Aramco’s Marjan project, situated off the coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Throughout the entirety of 2023, the Seven Borealis undertook a series of challenging tasks, culminating in the successful installation of 4 jackets, 9 topsides (PDM), 13 risers, and an impressive 20 pipelines featuring diameters ranging from 4” to 30”. This extensive operation accounted for the lifting and setting of approximately 14,000 metric tons of steel, coupled with the laying of an astounding 171 kilometers of pipes. More notably, this achievement was marked by an exceptional record of 1 million safe man-hours worked without a single lost time incident (LTI).

The completion of this offshore campaign stands as a testament to the dedication of the teams involved, showcasing their commitment to, safety, and operational performance. The synergy of collaboration and a keen emphasis on safety protocols were pivotal in achieving this significant accomplishment.

“Our success is a result of the incredible teamwork and unwavering focus on safety and performance,” commented [Spokesperson],

The successful execution of such intricate tasks in the challenging offshore environment underscores the industry’s ability to overcome complex logistical and operational challenges. The meticulous planning and execution not only contributed to the project’s success but also set a new standard for safety and efficiency in offshore endeavors.

As the maritime and project freight industry continues to push boundaries, achievements like these pave the way for future advancements and establish new benchmarks in the field. The Seven Borealis’ completion of the Marjan project further solidifies Subsea7’s reputation as a leader in offshore engineering and project logistics.
