The heaviest Arctic LNG 2 module weighing 14,000mt has been successfully rolled onto COSCO SHIPPING’s Xin Guang Hua.
COSCO (HK) Investment & Development Co. Ltd. has successfully rolled on the heaviest module TMR005 weighing 14,000 mt for the ARCTIC LNG 2 project owned by Novatek and its partners and entrusted to Technip Energies for the EPC part.
The module was transported with a world record number of 630 axles SPMT (self-propelled modular transporter) to the largest semi-submersible vessel, MV XIN GUANG HUA.
“On December 7, 2021, the load out operation was smooth and well controlled, demonstrating the strong capability of the vessel, and the professionalism of the crews and the onshore staff. We are very honored for having been assigned by Technip Energies the transportation of the project’s largest module going to the Gydan peninsula in West Siberia Russia.”
