CLdN and DFDS Agree to Mutual Space Charter

CLdN is pleased to announce the introduction of six additional sailings per week each way on its Rotterdam – Killingholme service.

Reacting to customer demand to provide more capacity, higher frequency and earlier arrivals (5 AM) into the UK, CLdN will introduce an additional six sailings per week each way on the Rotterdam – Killingholme service from the 10th of January 2022, increasing the offering to twelve sailings per week in each direction.

The increased capacity, made possible by a mutual space charter agreement (SCA) with DFDS, will allow for a faster rotation of cargoes and equipment, with a design to keep goods flowing more efficiently post 1st January 2022, when more stringent customs procedures enter in full force.

In Rotterdam, CLdN customers will have the possibility to load and discharge cargo in either Rozenburg (CLdN terminal) and/or Vlaardingen (DFDS terminal).

DFDS will increase its number of sailings by 6 per week in each direction. The earlier arrivals will enable some drivers to make two trips per day and therefore contribute to mitigating driver shortages.
