The Fracht team in Poland delivered a steam turbine and generator for a new combined heat and power plant, the so-called Czechnica project. The key element for this delivery was the turbine, which could not be delivered by the shortest, direct route to the construction site due to its weight of over 125 tonnes. The only way to get to the construction site was to organise transport through Germany and the Czech Republic and reach Poland from the south.
The organisation of the transport required the right choice of special road trailers, a thorough analysis of the route and its coordination with the road administration. They managed to obtain all the necessary permits and set up a schedule. Due to the weather conditions and the shape of the route, Fracht used a set of four-axle tractors with a modular semi-trailer and an auxiliary tractor. The delivery of the 97-tonne generator was not very demanding and took place on the optimal, shortest delivery route. Both elements arrived on site on 21 December 2022.
