The collaboration culminated in the delivery of seven forklifts and two gantry cranes to Eldorado’s new cellulose terminal at the Port of Santos, Latin America’s largest port. The equipment not only facilitates seamless operations but also underscores the commitment to productivity, safety, and eco-efficiency.

The new terminal, designed to process a staggering 3,000,000 tons of pulp bales annually, is a testament to Eldorado’s ambitious growth plans. Approximately 8,300 tons daily will be transported by rail and truck, with around 90% of the pulp destined for export to 45 countries worldwide. Recognizing the critical role of efficient material handling in achieving their objectives, Eldorado engaged Konecranes for joint planning and consulting on the terminal layout, ensuring optimal business returns on their substantial investment.

The two gantry cranes, tailor-made to Eldorado’s specifications, incorporate Smart Features for precise movement, while recycling braking energy contributes to eco-efficiency.
