Sarens’s Balticum division has accomplished a precise and challenging lifting operation in Kaunas, Lithuania. The operation involved the transportation and installation of a significant medical device weighing 20 tonnes.
The medical device in question is a cyclotron, a piece of equipment for both healthcare and scientific research. It was delivered to the Nuclear Medicine Research Center, which is currently under construction at the Kaunas clinics.
Equipped with specialized laboratory instruments, the cyclotron will enable the production of radiopharmaceuticals essential for positron emission tomography (PET) studies. Presently, Lithuania relies on the import of radiopharmaceuticals from foreign countries.
