Sarens PSG and Aventus Energy Join Forces to Deliver Integrated Port Marshalling Services for Offshore Wind Sector

In a move for the offshore wind industry, Sarens PSG and Aventus Energy have formed a strategic partnership to offer comprehensive port marshalling services. The collaboration, named Aventus SPG, aims to cater to the evolving needs of the offshore wind sector by providing a unified and integrated contract model that covers a wide range of essential services.

The genesis of this partnership can be traced back to their ongoing collaboration on the Moray West offshore wind project. Notably, Sarens PSG is presently engaged in a port marshalling contract for the Moray West project, encompassing the intricate process of load-in, marshalling, and load-out of the largest and heaviest XXL monopiles ever managed within the UK.

Aventus Energy, on the other hand, plays a crucial supportive role in this endeavor. The company contributes its expertise in protective coatings, inspection, non-destructive evaluation (NDE), steel fabrication and installation, and specialized rope access systems, along with other related services.

Steve Clark, the Managing Director of Sarens PSG, highlights the uniqueness of their collaborative contract model, which consolidates the strengths and capabilities of both entities. This innovative approach resonates well with the demands of the wind energy sector, where streamlined operations and comprehensive solutions are pivotal.

The joint venture is poised to not only elevate the offshore wind industry’s service quality but also to make a substantial impact on the local economy. The partnership envisions significant opportunities for the local workforce, aiming to engage them in historically significant projects within Scotland. This move is expected to not only strengthen the local workforce but also foster expertise and growth within the region.

With the formation of Aventus SPG, the partners are gearing up for an immediate recruitment drive. This drive will go beyond conventional hiring, including offshore wind-specific training and the introduction of an apprentice scheme. This underscores the commitment of the joint venture to nurturing talent and cultivating industry expertise from within.

As the offshore wind sector continues to expand, the collaboration between Sarens PSG and Aventus Energy is poised to set new industry standards. By amalgamating their strengths, they are well-positioned to offer a holistic suite of services that address the multifaceted requirements of the sector. The birth of Aventus SPG is indeed a notable milestone, indicative of a promising future for the offshore wind industry.
