Subsea 7 S.A. has secured a significant contract from Talos Energy for the Sunspear development in Green Canyon Block 78, situated in the Gulf of Mexico. The contract entails the subsea tieback of a production well at Sunspear to the Prince platform, located 12 kilometers to the north. Subsea 7 will undertake the installation of the flowline and associated subsea equipment at water depths of 500 meters.
The project management and installation engineering will be supervised by Subsea 7’s Houston office, with offshore activities slated to commence later this year. Craig Broussard, Vice President for Subsea7 Gulf of Mexico, expressed his satisfaction with the award, emphasizing that it bolsters their strategic collaboration with Talos Energy. He highlighted the significance of early-stage collaboration in facilitating swifter and more predictable project delivery.
Subsea 7 defines a sizable contract as falling within the range of $50 million to $150 million. The company, known globally for its expertise in delivering offshore projects and services, is committed to creating sustainable value.
