DEME has completed the secondary steel construction work for the foundations of Parkwind’s Arcadis East 1 offshore wind farm. DEME installed 28 foundations last summer using the M.V. Orion, making it a floating installation process. The secondary steel work includes boat moorings, platforms and corrosion protection systems and comprises a total of 3,700 tonnes of steel and 30 km of electrical cables.
