Mammoet has successfully assembled 11 floating 8.6 MW turbines for installation in the Norwegian North Sea. The special crane Mammoet used on the Hywind Tampen was a PTC 200- DS crane. This type of crane optimises construction and turnaround projects by enabling a more efficient approach to lifting and installing components. In addition, the PTC 200- DS crane offers solutions when oversized and heavy objects need to be installed or upgrades need to be carried out in confined areas.
