Reach Subsea Expands Fleet, Orders New ROVs to Boost Service Capacity

Reach Subsea ASA has taken significant steps to enhance its operational capacity and service offerings by expanding its fleet and ordering new Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). Following a successful charter extension and with a promising outlook, Reach Subsea is gearing up to meet the growing demands of the global subsea market.

In a recent development, Reach Subsea extended the charter for the subsea vessel Olympic Taurus by an additional two years, with options for further extensions. This move underscores the company’s commitment to seizing opportunities in the dynamic subsea industry, as mentioned by CEO Jostein Alendal.

Additionally, Reach Subsea has placed an order for two new Constructor type ROVs from Kystdesign AS, slated for delivery in May 2024. These heavy-duty ROVs boast a depth rating of 3000m and are designed to handle large tools and modules efficiently. The integration of these advanced ROVs into the fleet will significantly enhance Reach Subsea’s capability to execute a wide range of underwater tasks with precision and reliability.

CEO Jostein Alendal emphasized the strategic importance of these acquisitions, stating that they not only bolster the company’s fleet flexibility but also align with their commitment to delivering high-quality services. The new ROVs will seamlessly integrate into Reach Subsea’s existing portfolio of assets, strengthening their position as a leading provider of ocean services.
