BARCELONA, SPAIN – SUARDIAZ SLISA, a subsidiary of SUARDIAZ Group, in partnership with Transfesa Logistics, has successfully secured the contract for maneuvering services at the Tarragona Mercaderies terminal. This significant achievement marks a strategic move for both companies, emphasizing their strong position in the logistics sector.
The joint venture, known as the Union Temporal de Empresas (UTE), formed by SUARDIAZ SLISA and Transfesa Logistics, will be responsible for overseeing operations at the Tarragona Mercaderies terminal for the next five years. The awarding of this contract reflects the trust placed by Adif, the Spanish rail infrastructure manager, in the capabilities and expertise of the UTE.
Situated on a sprawling 20,180 square meters logistic area, the Tarragona Mercaderies terminal plays a pivotal role in serving the needs of the Tarragona Port Authority. The facility includes a rail yard and ample space for handling intermodal transport units.
Suardiaz SLISA specializes in the management and manipulation of intermodal cargo at railway terminals and currently operates in key locations such as the Port of Barcelona (Terminal Hutchison), Granollers, Tarragona (Constantí) (Mercaderies), León, and Terminal La Negrilla in Sevilla.
